Are action or shooter videogames targeted to, and played by foolish gamers?

There has been some debate over game genres throughout the years. Many people claim that only a Strategy, Role Playing, or Adventure game keeps your mind sharp and healthy.

While this is true to an extent. For example, strategy or Action/Strategy/Tactical games are superb food for your brain.

But shooters in general may seem to be too straightforward. Besides, they require a lot of productive, creative thinking to get through a very tough or, badly designed, by the developers, level.

Playing any First Person Shooter (FPS) in higher, highest difficulty levels automatically calls the player to adjust his strategy in the battlefield accordingly to the mission conditions he is given and in a very short time as well.

Moreover, in Tactical FPS games you really have to think hard and plan your decisions ahead. Not to mention what happens if you play a tactical shooter, with enemies who have high Artificial Intelligence, in higher difficulty selection.

So, The bottom line I am trying to say here is that there are no videogames for fools ever made. All gamers are clever and smart, either their favorite genre is shooters, fighting games, sports games, RPGs, adventures or you name it! They all get the job well done, at the end of the day!

Thank you for your time.
